Life Skills: Apartment and Housing Search
Our Adult Learning Modules are a series of basic Life Skills. These are appropriate for ages 12 and up with basic information that is easily understood and allows for processing between slides.

Training is approximately 25 minutes long

In this module you will learn:
• Basics about rent
• Basic about landlords/rental agencies
• Utilities
• Renter’s insurance
• Amenities
• How to decide on roommates
• How to search for an apartment/house
• How to choose a price range and location
• How to complete a walk-through
• How to complete a rental application
• Lease’s, co-signing, and subletting/sub-leasing
• What to do when moving in/moving out
• Costs to consider
